About:
Using web 2.0 resources, students are asked to create online portfolios of their artwork using WordPress. WordPress is a blogging platform that can be modified to the needs of the individual user. Using a blogging tool allows students to rapidly develop an artist website without the long learning curve of coding from scratch or utilizing a website editor like Dreamweaver. Students can further integrate other web 2.0 resources into the sites to broaden their usage for the artist. In addition students can integrate cafepress.com, bigcartel.com, ecarter.com and ebay.com to add ecommerce to their websites.
